Gordon Brathwaite: ever-constant withstanding the weather

Through all weather patterns and circumstances, Gordon Brathwaite, former national football captain now Head Coach of Beacon Football Club, makes it his duty to be at the Parade Ground to take the youngsters of his club through their development routines.
Yesterday afternoon as Guyana Times Sport was traversing the city looking for sporting action in the May-June rainy season, we spotted dozens of aspiring footballers working to develop their skills with Brathwaite.

Beacon youth players were on Tuesday involved in some high-intensity training under the watchful eyes of their Head Coach, former national football captain Gordon Brathwaite

The Rastafarian Coach said it was his civic duty to give back to the sport that put him in the spotlight and from which he benefited.
According to the former national skipper, he is not just equipped to assist the young football prospects with their progress in the sport, but also to succour their social development.
The youth players are using these off-season training sessions as preparation for upcoming club and school competitions.
