Minister within the Public Health Ministry, Dr Karen Cummings, reaches out to Member of Parliament Rajcoomarie Gloria Bancroft, who is currently recovering at the Georgetown Public Hospital after a brief period of illness

Currently recovering in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the tertiary heath institution is MP Rajcoomarie Gloria Bancroft, a regional advocate for Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni), who sits on the Government benches in the National Assembly.
Out of concern, Minister Cummings thought it best to render some sort of support to her colleague and to ensure that the MP was assured of the optimum service she would receive at the Hospital. Minister Cummings believes that MP Bancroft would recover in a timely manner and be able to return to her duties as a regional advocate.
MP Bancroft is currently under observation after she had experienced severe diabetic complications. Her attending physician, Dr John Anderson, noted that “she is doing quite well”. She is being monitored and medical staff will continue to carry out the necessary procedures to ensure that Bancroft recovers well.
