Guyana Police Force (GPF) Officers’ team all-rounder Trevor Benn has been selected to represent the West Indies at the 2026 International Masters Cricket (IMC) Over-40s Cricket World Cup, which will be hosted in Guyana from October 17 to November 1.
Benn is part of a 16-member West Indies squad that will be captained by former West Indies wicketkeeper-batsman Denesh Ramdin. The squad also features several former international players, including Ramnaresh Sarwan, Sewnarine Chattergoon, Jason Mohammed, Rayad Emrit, and Devendra Bishoo.

The selection is another notable achievement for Benn, who continues to play an important role as an all-rounder for the GPF Officers’ team.
The tournament will feature 16 international teams contesting 72 matches in the 45-over format at venues across several regions of Guyana.
West Indies have been drawn in Zone A alongside Australia, Canada, defending champions South Africa, Colombia, Wales, Namibia, and Sri Lanka.
The regional side will begin its campaign against Australia on Saturday, October 17, at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, with the match scheduled to bowl off at 09:30h.
The tournament will culminate with the Grand Final at the Guyana National Stadium on October 31, followed by the closing ceremony at the Police Officers’ Mess Annexe, Eve Leary.

For Benn, the tournament presents an opportunity to compete on the international masters stage alongside several former West Indies stars and experienced cricketers from across the Caribbean.
The GPF has congratulated Benn on his selection and wished him and the West Indies Over-40s team success at the upcoming World Cup.
