GPF, FACC cycle road race on today in Berbice

Following the successful staging of a cycle road race on the Corentyne highway two Sundays ago, the Guyana Police Force (GPF) and the Flying Ace Cycle Club (FACC) will collaborate once again today to stage a 28-mile race in Berbice.

The event, which is for cyclist of the FACC, is set to pedal off at 09:00h from Tacama Turn, New Amsterdam.
The riders will proceed along the New Amsterdam, Canje and Corentyne highways to the Independence Arch at Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, before turning back to finish at the junction of Main and Alexander Streets, New Amsterdam.
A number of prizes are up for grabs, including the first four finishers, first two Under-16 riders and first three females. There will also eight sprint point prizes up for grabs.
