GPF hosts annual church service in observance of Road Safety Week

The traffic department within in the Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Sunday hosted its annual National Road Safety Week church service under the theme “Stop Speeding, Don’t Drink and Drive, Stay Alive” at the Police Officers’ Mess Annex, Eve Leary, Georgetown.

The service was graced with the presence of Home Affairs Minister Robeson Benn, Commissioner of Police (ag) Nigel Hoppie, Deputy Commissioner “Operation” (ag) Clifton Hicken; Traffic Chief, Superintendent Ramesh Ashram; Coordinator of the Guyana National Road Safety Council, Ramona Doorgen and other ranks of the traffic department.
During the church service, there were several sensational hymns performed by members of the Guyana Police Force Choir and included “Blessed Assurance”, “He Has Made Me Glad” and “Break Every Chain”.
The service ended with the message and benediction which were done by Inspector Maniram Jagnanan.
