GRA hosts 2-day tax complaint workshop

Officers of the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) Communication and Tax Advisory Service, met with business owners and residents Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) for a two-day Regional Tax Complaint Workshop.
The workshop was held in the board room of the regional office, in Anna Regina. On Monday, the officers from GRA met with the Essequibo Chamber of Commerce and the business community and on Tuesday they met with the general public, including members of the Disciplinary Services.

Presenters were Fabian Clowes and Roopnarine Ramkishun, who both informed the participants of the new and existing tax laws, how to calculate your own tax, fill up tax returns and how to access online services.
They also educated residents on the stamping of cigarettes and alcohol. A similar workshop will also be conducted in Lethem, Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo); Berbice, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) and Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice).
