Corporate giant Edward B. Beharry and Company Limited has recommitted its support for the National Rugby Team by being their brand sponsor for the upcoming Rugby Americas North (RAN) 7’s Championship in Trinidad and Tobago from November 12 to 13.

The simple ceremony was held at the company’s Wellington and Charlotte Street branch on Friday in the presence of Beharry’s Brand Manager Kamini Naresh, Marketing Manager Satesh Singh, President of the Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) Peter Green and members of the Rugby team.

Naresh in her comments stated that “we are very proud to be a part of the sponsorship and are proud of your achievements; we are proud to help in nurturing your talents and this is our way of giving back.”

“On behalf of our company, Edward B. Beharry and Company, we are very proud to be a part of the sponsorship and we are very proud of your achievement and we are happy to contribute in any way we can and help nurture your talent,” Naresh said.

Similarly, the Marketing Manager was pleased to continue partnership with the team but views their support, “as one where they are not just sponsors but friends.”

“Beharry has been proud to be associated with this team for a number of years now … we don’t have just this corporate sponsorship going on but we have developed a closeness and is proud to be partners after the rugby team has consistently dominated the Caribbean.” Singh pointed out.

Meanwhile, Green in his address was grateful for the support by revealing that “Guyana are seven-time Caribbean Regional Champions but the sponsorship is critical as the union winds up its 2016 activities.”

“The Guyana team you have here is a well blend of youth and experience, it is up to the players now to recognize that sponsorship, the money backing them must not be thrown to the waste side, and they got to play 100%.” Green stated.

The sponsorship also covers the female team which also are under intense training sessions at the National Rugby Field.
