GTT “bringing the heat” to Amazon Warriors team

With less than two months left before the biggest party in sport – the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) – kicks off in August, the official song of the Guyana Amazon Warriors was launched on Wednesday at the Presidential Suite of the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, East Bank Demerara.

The tune, which will be blasting on radio and television stations over the coming weeks leading up to and during the 5th edition of the CPL tournament, was revealed at an event hosted by local telecommunication giant GTT, the newest sponsorship partner of the warriors’ team.

With “The Biggest Party In Sport” set to begin on August 4, telecommunications company GTT is bringing the heat with the announcement of it being the main sponsor of the Guyana Amazon Warriors in this year’s Caribbean Premier League. The track saw the collaboration of two local music stars – Calvin Burnett and Drew Thoven. Both the lyrics and the music of the GTT sponsored song capture the hype and energy that patrons can expect at the games come August.

In fact, Chief Executive Officer of GTT, Justin Nedd, said through this new venture, the company will be bringing the heat and good party vibes not only to the Guyana Amazon Warriors team but the entire CPL tournament as well.

“We promise nothing short of excitement for CPL in Guyana 2017. GTT and the Guyana Amazon Warriors will blaze these stands and the grass mound on the match days in full party mode… so GTT’s intention is to bring the heat, the passion and real fun, party vibes to the CPL and the Guyana Amazon Warriors, during the four matches to be played at the Guyana National Stadium,” Nedd teased.

Meanwhile, Marketing and Media Officer and Assistant Operations Manager of the Guyana Amazon Warriors team, John Ramsingh, promises major giveaways through a serious of promotions and competitions to be held over the coming weeks.

“Together with GTT we plan to unveil a number of promotions and competitions where the people of Guyana will have a chance to participate and get the opportunity to win free tickets to the games or even win a GTT special prize. In the coming weeks leading up to the games, you will be provided with all the details of these initiatives,” he said.

In addition to witnessing the music video at Tuesday’s launching event, those gathered were also treated to live performance by the dynamic duo.

CPL 2017 promises much excitement and thrills during the five-week tournament, which kicks off on August 4. Guyana will be hosting four matches which will be held from August 17-21.
