GTT hosts successful Pinktober walk/run

Guyana’s largest telecommunication services provider, GTT, on Saturday hosted their annual Pinktober 5K Walk/Run and Cycle Race to bring attention to Breast Cancer.
This event commenced at D’Urban Park at 4:00am, and individuals supported in their numbers as GTT continued their month-long awareness campaign with the goal of raising funds for the fight against Breast Cancer. The large number of participants who were engaged in the various categories of races were rewarded for their outstanding performances.
Glendon Aaron dominated the 10k Run, which required a huge amount of strength and endurance. He copped the 1st place prize, while the exceptional Pauline Murphy and Nicketa Wilson came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Jonathan Fagardil was the standout performer in the 5K Run, finishing 1st. Quacy Mc Ryan came in 2nd while Dexter Alexander finished in 3rd position. The youngest participant was seven-year-old Silvia Paraso, while Anthony Thom was the youngest cyclist.
The well-known GTT Pinktober Walk concluded the calendar activities planned. GTT representative Devi Sukhdeo presented the participants with their respective awards, while Gizmos and Gadgets Guyana, along with Shoe Heaven, handed out vouchers to the women who participated in the GTT Pinktober Walk/Race.
Additionally, the Pinktober event received support from the Mexican Suarez Brothers Circus, Republic Bank, ExxonMobil, 93.1 Real FM, and other agencies.
