GTT launches +size Christmas promotion

Following a few days of teasers via social media and triggered messages to its mobile customers, GTT unveiled its Christmas promotion on Wednesday evening at the Stabroek Market Square. Hundreds of patrons joined the company for the launch of “GTT +Sized Christmas”. The event was filled with fun and excitement as acts such as the Euphoria Dance Group; Mark Kazim (Chinee Man); DJ Energy; Calvin Burnette; Kwasi Ace and the FAME band entertained the crowd. There were also lots of prizes to be won as Lyndon “Jumbie” Jones kept everyone engaged.
GTT Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Justin Nedd was very excited as he shared the company’s intention to spend $8 million in cash and prizes, with more winners this year.
“We know that Christmas is a big deal for all Guyanese, so as ‘the do more’ company, we are giving more to several communities across Guyana. It will be a +Sized Christmas with GTT this year where one lucky winner will be the owner of the grand prize BMW X1, which comes with one year free insurance, as well as one year free Super 95 gas from Guyoil!”
Nedd also shared that the second, third and fourth-placed prize winners will receive cash amounts of $150,000, $100,000 and $50,000 respectively.
GTT’s Head of Mobile, Rhonda Allicock, explained how the promotion works – prepaid customers get a character(s) to spell out ‘+MORE’ whenever they top up $1000 or more or purchase a three-day or more data plan.
“In other words, once they spell the phrase ‘+MORE’, they get a chance to win weekly prizes or grand prizes. Twenty-one weekly winners will be given one of three prizes: $10,000 credit, 10GB of data or Super 95 gas voucher from our partner, Guyoil. Our postpaid customers only need to pay their bill on time and in full to get an entry,” she explained.
Allicock continued that there was a third element whereby customers could purchase letters for $500 each to secure an entry.
GTT’s grand finale event will be hosted at the Stabroek Market where four lucky finalists will compete in a series of obstacle- filled activities for the grand prize of the prestigious BMW X1.
