A GTT Manager is now counting his losses after he was attacked in his yard by a lone gunman who reportedly trailed him from a city bank.
The Manager, 43-year-old Roderick Dyer of Bent Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown, was robbed around 20:30h.
Guyana Times was informed that Dyer visited a bank located on Robb Street, Georgetown where he withdrew cash.
He then proceeded to his motor car and drove home, parking in front of his Bent Street home.
Dyer then exited his vehicle and proceeded to his yard where he was pounced upon by the lone gunman from behind.
The perpetrator reportedly held onto his neck, placed a gun to his face and relieved him of $30,000 and valuables amounting to $210,000. The man then quickly made good his escape in an unknown direction. The matter was reported and the Police were said to be investigating.
