Chief Executive Officer at GTT, Justin Nedd, who serves as Chamber Vice President, commended the Chamber body for its initiative – since it will add cheer and meet the needs of many vulnerable children. “Christmas is a season of giving. I am heartened to know that this Drive will not only touch the lives of children in one orphanage but several orphanages; this year, more than ever, we need to band together to actively tackle our societal needs,” Nedd stated.
“This year the Chamber is not just supplying toys, its members are also meeting some of the daily needs of the children and that is truly commendable; it is without hesitation that we contributed to this special effort,” he added. GTT is an active member of AmCham Guyana.
President of AmCham Guyana, Zulfikar Ally extended gratitude to GTT for its generous donation. “I wish to thank GTT for providing personal care items and gifts for AmCham Guyana’s children Christmas Gift Drive. It shows the Company’s continued commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility activities in Guyana and we look forward to continue working with GTT to give back to Guyanese especially those who are in need. A heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the holidays to the GTT family,” he said.
The AmCham team along with other donors will commence the Christmas Drive this week. The orphanages include the St Joseph Bosco Orphanage, Shaheed Orphanage, Camal Home, Bal Nivas and Canaan Full Gospel Children’s Home, A Sanctuary Children’s Home and Hauraruni Girls Home.
