The Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), on Wednesday August 28, received a quantity of high quality table tennis equipment from STAG International, an India-based manufacturer and distributor of table tennis and durable sports equipment that is renowned for high quality.
The GTTA receipt comprised the following equipment: 10 Americas 16 elite tables, 1 Americas 16 elite show court table complete set, 12 umpire tables, 12 scoreboards,
60 dozen 3-Star balls, 60 dozen training balls, and 60 barriers.
The following national team kits were included in the receipt: track suits, playing shirts, shorts, kit bags, towels and socks.
In what was a ground-breaking historical agreement signed between Stag International Chairman Vivek Kholi and GTTA President Godfrey Munroe earlier this year, Guyana became the 41st country independently sponsored by Stag International. GTTA is now among a group of 57 countries worldwide that are sponsored by the brand.
Under the terms of this agreement, which resulted from a proposal by the GTTA, Stag will serve as the exclusive equipment provider for Guyana for the next four (4) years, and the GTTA will receive an equipment grant every two years.
The agreement will also see the GTTA benefiting from the provision of competitive discounted prices on future purchases of equipment, in addition to sponsorship and provision of equipment support for any international event being hosted by the GTTA within the period of the agreement. The Executive Committee of the GTTA is elated at this development.
