Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Linden: Four teams secure semifinal berths
Futsal action continued in the mining town of Linden on Wednesday night as the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ tournament intensified with quarterfinal action at the Retrieve Hardcourt.

Swag Entertainment were the first team to book their passage to the semifinal round, cruising past Realest Ballers 4-0. Two Guinness Goals which were scored in the dying minutes of the game, and which each account for two goals, lifted Swag Entertainment to the win.
After being deadlocked for 26 minutes, Allan Halley broke the ice between the two teams in the 27th minute, while Kendolph Lewis followed suit in the 28th for the win.
A victory by an identical margin went the way of YMCA when they took on Spaniards in the night’s second encounter. Kymani Prince led the charge for YMCA with a brace in the 16th and 18th, after which Jamal Bentick found the back of the net in the 22nd with a Guinness Goal.
Next, defending champions Silver Bullets overcame Turf President 2-0. Colwyn Drakes opened the scoring for Silver Bullets in the 7th minute, while Amoniki Buntin made it a 2-0 affair in the 15th.
The last quarterfinal matchup saw DC Ballerz needling LA Ballers 1-0. Jayshawn Moore was the marksman who found the back of the net in the 21st for the game-winner.
The Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Linden edition semifinals will go down on Saturday, May 10th at the same venue. There, Silver Bullets will come up against DC Ballerz, while Swag Entertainment and YMCA would duke it out for the other spot in the final.
The teams in the Banks DIH- sponsored tournament are competing for a $500,000 grand prize and a spot in the coveted Guinness “Greatest of the Streets’ National Championships.
