Gun, ammunition found under tree along Waini trail
Police in Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) have launched a probe into the discovery of a firearm under a tree in the Waini Trail, Cuyuni District.

Police stated that the discovery of the .357 magnum revolver with three live matching rounds was made on Saturday during a joint operation in the area.
According to Police, it is still unclear who owns the weapon and how it got under the tree. However, the revolver and ammunition were lodged at the Police Station, while investigations are pending.
No arrest has been made at this time, and inquiries are in progress.
