Gunmen attack, rob ECD businessman

Two gunmen on Sunday evening executed a daring robbery on a businessman and his son at their Triumph, East Coast Demerara (ECD) home.
Based on reports received, at about 19:45h, the two masked men confronted the businessman, Wayne Evans also called “Rasta Man” and ordered him into the house.
However, the businessman’s son opened the door from the inside and one of the armed men discharged a round in the young man’s direction but it hit the floor instead. The young man reportedly ran to safety but the armed men relieved his father of a $75,000 gold chain he was wearing.
As they made good their escape, the men discharged another round at the businessman’s son but he was unharmed. The Police were contacted and have launched an investigation into the robbery.
