Shadrach Bridgemohan, a 17-year-old labourer of Vergenoegen, East Bank Essequibo, was on Saturday evening deprived of his valuables by two gunmen in the vicinity of the route 43 (Linden) minibus park on Hadfield Street, Georgetown.
He had reportedly exited a minibus and was attempting to board another bus for Yarrowkabra, Linden/Soesdyke Highway, when he was attacked.
Guyana Times understands that he was first choked from behind by one of the gunmen, who then pointed a gun to his face while rifling his pockets and confiscating his mobile phone along with $8,000.
The perpetrators then quickly fled the scene, but a report was lodged and an investigation has been launched.
