Gunmen storm beauty salon, rob staff and customer

Two armed men on Sunday evening stormed Simone’s Beauty Salon at Joseph Pollydore Street, Lodge, Georgetown, and robbed three women of their personal belongings.
The women – a hairdresser, a make-up artist and a customer – were relieved of four gold rings, one LG cellular phone, one anklet, one iPhone 8 Plus cell phone, one Samsung Galaxy S9+ mobile phone and one gold chain.
Based on information received, on the day in question at about 22:10h, two men who were armed with handguns turned up at the salon on a black motorcycle. However, one of the men dismounted the motorcycle, walked into the salon and asked for “Sharon”.
At that time, the victims reportedly told him no one by that name works at the establishment. The man then reached into his pants crotch, pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the three women.
The second perpetrator, Police stated, entered the salon and instructed the women to lay on the floor. Out of fear, the three women complied. The men then relieved the women of the above-mentioned articles after which they left the salon.
After the men had left the salon, the Police were contacted and ranks have launched an investigation into the robbery.
