Guyana gets new CAC accredited judge

t the conclusion of the 2016 edition of the Central America and Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding Championships (CAC) hosted in the Dominican Republic, not only did Guyana record their best showing at the event but also Franklyn Brisport earned the CAC accreditation as a judge in the sport.

Brisport joins long serving judge, Frank Tucker as the only two Guyanese judges to be given this honor, and indicated that the CAC was his first exposure but “his scoring was right on point with the international judges.”
“For me the CAC was my first exposure as a manager and doing the CAC exam and in my opinion it wasn’t as hard as I think it would be because I have been judging in Guyana for the past 10-15 years and it was just a normal routine.” The new judge stated.
Brisport adds this accreditation to the long list of services in the sporting fraternity he officiates including Boxing and Football as well as a member of the executive committee of the Guyana Amateur Weightlifting Association.
The newly accredited judge extended gratitude to his sponsors, Demerara Harbour Bridge for providing this opportunity.
President of the Guyana Amateur Bodybuilding Federation, Keavon Bess pointed out that this would add to the development of the sport while highlighting that Brisport would have done an exceptional job with the team in the Dominican Republic.
Brisport will now move on to attend the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness seminar in Curacao in December.
