Guyana Gold Board opens new office at Port Kaituma
Guyana Gold Board (GGB) on Monday opened its newest office at Port Kaituma, Region One (Barima-Waini).
Officials cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of the Guyana Gold Board’s new office
This is the third office opened by GGB.
At the simple commissioning ceremony, Natural Resources Minister Raphael Trotman underscored the value of the new location while noting that businesses at the new location will increase revenues to the economy through increased gold declarations.
The Gold Board’s newest office is expected to offer similar services to those offered in the city including testing and buying gold. In addition, the office will serve as a central access point of services to persons in the mining community and from surrounding areas.
The office is located in the building that houses Port Kaituma’s Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) branch at Turn Basin, Port Kaituma.
