Guyana makes clean sweep at Super Stock race in Barbados
Team Mohamed’s super stock Bikers, Matt and Harry Truelove have had an impressed run at Bushy Park in Barbados when the Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) was hosted on Sunday. The duo came out on top of the Super Stock Races thus putting Guyana in line to covet the CMRC title for 2018.
In addition to the wins, Matt Truelove set a new lap record with 1:01.542 in his second race. His former teammate Bryce Prince held that record, with a time of 1:01.910 in 2017.Also shining in Barbados on Sunday was Matthew Vieira who added to Guyana’s fortune.
In addition, Mark Vieira and Andrew King took the podium with first place each against Barbadian, Mark Maloney in the Group Four. In light of the excellent performances, Team Guyana has produced podium finishes in most of their races.
Although suffering from mechanical issues, Rameeze Mohamed secured a fourth in the one race he competed in. Young biker Raveiro Tucker was unable to make a podium spot but according to reports, he has improved.
Nevertheless, the action now turns to Guyana in November for the final showdown. Large contingent are expected from Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago.
