Guyana records another COVID-19 related death

The Ministry of Health is reporting that Guyana has recorded and additional COVID-19 related death, taking the death toll to 52.

Additionally, 13 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been reported. This now takes the total number of confirmed cases to 1763.

Based on the figures released, 13 persons are now housed in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) while 1144 recoveries have been recorded.

Of the total cases, 867 are males while 896 are females. The Ministry claims that 46 persons are in Institutional Isolation while 508 are in Home Isolation.

52 persons are in Institutional Quarantine and a total of 10,592 tests have been administered thus far.
