Guyana Volleyball Federation to benefit from FIVB development assistance

President of the Guyana Volleyball Federation, Levi Nedd, has successfully attended and participated in the 76th Congress of the South American Volleyball Confederation, held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on 13th April 2022.
In a discussion with FIVB President Dr. Ary Garcia and South American Confederation President Dr. Marco Tullio G. Teixeira, on the way forward for volleyball in Guyana, Nedd made representation for a number of developmental projects, which will be requested through the World Volleyball Donations platform FIVB.

Nedd’s major requests were for a volleyball floor, technical development in referee and indoor coaching, and provision of other equipment. He also requested renewed ties with Brasil’s the “BIG BROTHER” TWINNING, and renewed relationships with the three Guianas in tournaments.
Guyana is also looking to attend and participate in the South American Male and Female Indoor Tournaments to be held in Asuncion, Paraguay from October 2nd to 6th, 2022 for males and October 10th to 14th, 2022 for females.
Moreover, Guyana is looking to participate in the male and female Beach Tournaments which would be held from October 11th to 15th in Paraguay, and as such is expected to garner much support from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport and other entities to realise this goal.
