Guyanese man killed in Nevis

Police in St Kitts and Nevis are probing the death of a Guyanese national who was found dead with gunshot wounds on Saturday.
The dead man has been identified as Marlon James, 27, of Brown Hill, Charlestown, Nevis. James is reportedly from Buxton, East Coast Demerara but moved to the islands a few years ago.
According to reports from local media in Nevis, James’ body was found in a clump of bushes in the Hamilton area of Nevis on Saturday morning sometime around 07:30h. He was reportedly shot seven times about the body and partially burnt.
The Charlestown Police Station in Nevis said it received the report of a body found along a road in the Hamilton area.
“There were signs of violence and multiple gunshots wounds about the body. The District Medical Doctor arrived at the scene and pronounced him dead,” a release from the local Police said.
The Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and took several items of evidential value for further investigations, the Nevis Police said.
