Guyanese Pastor among 2 killed in Suriname smash-up

The driver of a blue Toyota Wish motor car bearing registration number PVV 3080 died after he reportedly slammed head on into a Canter truck some 50 miles from the capital city Paramaribo, Suriname on Thursday. He was later identified as a US missionary called “Pastor Tim”.

Guyana Times was told that the car was heading to Paramaribo and the Canter truck was heading to Nickerie, Suriname. One online media outlet reported that the car was speeding and it suddenly began to sway on the roadway before colliding with the truck. As a result of the impact, the truck struck a utility pole while the car ended up in the ditch.
The drivers of both vehicles were reportedly thrown from their vehicles and landed on the ground. Based on reports received, public-spirited citizens rushed to the scene to give assistance, but the two men were already dead. The now dead pastor leaves to mourn his three children and wife.
