Guyanese players Yadram and Joseph shine for Cavaliers

Over the past weekend, the International Cavaliers recorded wins against Prairie Cricket Club and Minnesota Gymkhana in the Minnesota Cricket Association (MCA) League and the MCA T20 Division one matches played at the Zanewood Brooklyn Park Ground.
Guyanese players Kumar Joseph and Kamesh Yadram had good outings for the Cavaliers. Joseph smashed 78, while Yadam had magical figures of 5 for 6 in three overs.

Playing against the Prairie Cricket Club, Cavaliers rolled over their opponents for a paltry 69 all out in 18 overs. Yadram bowled three overs and claimed 5 wickets for 6 runs, while Kartik Kalra and Bilal Siddique each took two wickets.
In reply, Cavaliers finished on 70-1 in 11.1 overs, cruising to a nine-wicket win, with Kartik Kalra smashing an unbeaten 51 from 37 balls, which included five fours and two sixes.
In the other fixture, MN Gymkhana batted first and posted 124-7 in their allotted 20 overs. Munish Gupta was the top-scorer with 36 runs, while Shaunak Manjure and Sushant Khullar scored 33 and 31 respectively.
Rishi Ragoonanan, who picked up a hat trick off the final three balls of the innings, had 3-12, while the consistent Kalra had 2-13.
In pursuit of 125 for victory, Cavaliers ended on 129-2, winning by eight wickets on the back of Joseph’s brilliant 78. The former Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club player smashed seven towering sixes and four boundaries in his 38-ball carnage.
The all-rounder Yadram, brother of former West Indies youth player Bhaskar, made 21 not out to see his team across the line in a comprehensive weekend.
