The Guyana Oil Company (Guyoil) in collaboration with the Sonic Hunters Motorcycle Club on Saturday launched its Castrol Actevo motorcycle oil.
Present at the event was Marketing and Sales Manager of Guyoil, Eric Whaul, who stated that this is the first commercially available oil that is specifically formulated for motorcycles.

“Most motorcycles are using engine oil in their motorcycles, but the engine oil is really manufactured for engines. The motorcycle oil caters for your clutches and brakes,” he said.
Whaul also highlighted that the new oil is guaranteed to be of a good quality, since it is produced by Castrol; a world recognised brand which also pioneered motor racing.
Moreover, the introduction of the oil was a timely one, since members of the motorcycle club will be embarking on the Savannah Drive expedition in Lethem, Rupununi, Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo) in a few days.
President of the Sonic Hunters Motorcycle Club, Terrence Lieben, also shared his elation in relation to the collaborative efforts between the oil company and the Motorcycle Club, noting that the club “will represent and promote the brand”.
This event marks the official launch of the motorcycle oil which has been on the market for some time now and consumers are encouraged to purchase the product, which is guaranteed to reduce the engine wear of their bikes.
