…launches customer appreciation promotion
GuyOil’s General Manager on Friday said that the company remains fully prepared to serve customers, stressing that “we have fuel always” as it continues to deliver reliable service at the pump.
Speaking on operations at GuyOil, she said the organisation’s success is built on trust, consistency, and a people-centred approach, with both customers and staff at the heart of its service delivery.
The Guyana Oil Company Limited (GuyOil) is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Established on June 16, 1976, GUYOIL is the largest state-owned oil company in Guyana’s downstream petroleum sector, operating a network of over 56 service stations across the country.
The celebratory event kicked off earlier today at the company’s Regent Street branch, bringing together employees and stakeholders in observance of the milestone.

The General Manager of GuyOil, Molly Hassan, expressed pride in the company’s journey over the years, noting that the achievement is not only about longevity but also reflects the brand’s stability and the trust it has built with customers.
“We, our company, we have fuel. We always have fuel, because we are GuyOil, and the leadership comes through what happens at the pump. That is the proof of the pudding – the delivery of services at the pump. Our success has been built on trust, reliability, and the people. We are a people-centred company, and it’s always the people. We put people first at GuyOil – our customers and our people. We have happy people at GuyOil.”
She further expressed appreciation for the support shown by customers throughout the six to seven weeks of continuous engagement surrounding the company’s 50th anniversary promotion, describing it as a way of giving back to loyal customers.
“We have people, our valued employees, who work hard tirelessly every day serving customers at the pumps. Our gratitude also goes to those customers we serve, as well as our non-service employees. It’s already 50 years – it’s truly remarkable. It’s not just about longevity at GuyOil; it also signifies stability, expertise, and trust earned from our loyal customers, all the lovely people who show up at our service stations every day, and our staff who serve every single day. Rain or shine, we are here to serve. Regent Street is a 24-hour gas station. We operate three shifts here, starting from 6am.”
“Drive Into 50” promotion
Meanwhile, a GuyOil staff member speaking at the event highlighted the company’s “Drive Into 50” promotion, through which customers have the chance to win a Toyota Rush.
Customers purchasing from GuyOil are being encouraged to fill out coupons for a chance to win a range of prizes in the company’s ongoing promotion.
According to company representatives, entries placed in the promotional box will qualify customers for a grand prize of a Toyota Rush, a weekend trip for two to Panama, and a getaway for two to the Arorad Forest Lodge for nature lovers.
The promotion also features 50 consolation prizes, including laptops, air fryers, microwaves, grocery vouchers, spa packages, dinner for two, food processors, local tours, and gift bundles aimed at enhancing everyday living.
Officials said the initiative reflects GuyOil’s continued commitment to giving back to customers, noting that leadership support has helped expand the range of rewards available under the promotion.
