Harold walks away from competition in memorial race

National Race Walker Debidyal Harold dominated the recently concluded Annual 5K Anand E.T Dharry Memorial Race staged at the National Parks on Sunday October 22.
Hosted by the Cavaliers Sports Club and Bar, Harold dominated the competition by utilizing all his experience to get the better of his teammates including second place Aabrid Khan and Saggal Lamjohn who finished in third place.
Salma Khan hammered her competitors as she finished in first place in the senior category while Shamar Edwards, Mc Allister Carroll and Rehanna Fraser placed first, second and third respectively.
Both Harold and Khan took to Homestretch with some pace as they outclassed other competitor to cross the line in convincing fashion. Following the race, Anasha Ally, Director of E&A Consultants said her company was happy to partake in the event while reinforcing that they wil be supporting Race Walking in the future as it plays a key role in the healthy development of Guyanese.
Jennifer Major, Coordinator of the Cavaliers Sports Club and Bar added that the club is making every effort to keep the sport booming, despite the lack of sponsorship. She also added that the foundation is currently looking ahead to support the growth of the sport in Guyana.
