…LGC showers high praise on MACORP
Saturday November 6 is a day to remember; it was a day full of drama and a day filled with much joy, despite the weather wanting to have its way. The MACORP Golf tournament was in full swing, and no competitor held back as the action unfolded at the Lusignan Golf Club. In the end, Ravendra Harry, Videsh Persaud, Shanella London and Rohan Albert all won their respective categories.

The LGC has said in a statement: “The Lusignan Golf Club and MACORP are partners in every way, as was shown with the big turnout. We at the golf club are happy to have such a willing and able partner in MACORP. MACORP are more than just sponsors, they are the ones that came forward when the grounds were in a bad shape with flooding in 2019 and 2020. They donated equipment to deal with our drainage and irrigation, which has done tremendous, as the overnight rain did not affect today’s tournament, as we finished on time. We are thankful for the relationship, and it is mutually beneficial.

Fifteen years ago, MACORP joined with the Lusignan Golf Club, and has since continuously supported the club. MACORP is known for its support of community service projects and sports in Guyana. MACORP is the only authorised dealer of Caterpillar products in Guyana.
