Hauraruni Girls’ Home gets donation from ANSA McAL
ANSA McAL Trading Limited (AMTL) under its Smalta Brand has continued its initiative of donations to orphanages around Guyana with the Hauraruni Girls’ Home being the latest beneficiary.
According to the company, a significant amount of the Smalta beverage was donated to the Hauraruni Girls’ Home on the Linden-Soesdyke Highway, where 20 girls currently live.
The gesture was done as part of a series of donations that started with the St John’s Basco Orphanage on April 21 and continued with St Ann’s and Joshua House Orphanages last week.
According to AMTL, its non-alcoholic department identified orphanages and less fortunate homes as institutions that might face tough times during the COVID-19 pandemic and thought it is best to aid these institutions with a beverage that will boost the immune system.
Smalta Brand Coordinator Gabrielle Lopes noted that “as the world faces a health crisis, ANSA McAL under the brand Smalta is committed to reaching out to those most affected at this time. Our focus is primarily on our healthcare workers and various orphanages across Guyana. This pandemic comes at a challenging time and our hope is that our small contribution can have a positive impact on the fight against COVID-19”.
