Heated battle predicted for Hand in Hand Insurance Cycle meet
Cycling fans will be in for a real treat on Saturday at the inner circuit of the National Park when the country’s top cyclists will match pedals in the 13th Annual Hand in Hand Group if Insurance Companies 11-race Cycle meet.
With the likes of Raynauth Jeffrey who is fresh off of the Tour of Tobago, Jamaul John (Team Coco) who is in top form and at the top of the Classification table along with Geron Williams, Paul DeNobrega (Team Evolution), Alanzo Ambrose (Team Alanis) and current National Park record holder Kemuel Moses, competition is expected to be at a very high level.
The day’s event is being organized by National Cycling coach, Hassan Mohamed and will serve as excellent preparation for the Kadir Mohamed “Gold Race” next weekend.
The first race of the day will pedal off at 9:00hrs with the juniors riding off in the BMX races before the senior riders look to stake claims for the 35-lap feature event.
While Raynauth “Obeah Man” Jeffrey will be in ‘tip top’ shape, having performed exceptionally well in the Tour of Tobago, it is by no means a walk in the park as John has been performing exceedingly well over the past couple of months while Alanzo Ambrose is right up there with him as well as the usual suspects in DeNobrega and Raul Leal always in the hunt for the top spot.
