Fans on Sunday were treated to three centuries in the Telenec Under-15 tournament – Adrian Hetmyer’s (145*) and Romario Ramdeholl’s (135) in match number one and Navin Boodwah’s (114) in the final game of the day.
In match number one, Rose Hall Canje “Arborsmart” duked it out with Guymine. Rose Hall Canje continued their dominant ways as they smashed another 300+ score in the tournament. Hetmyer in particular smashing 145, his second century of the season.
Ramdeholl also chipped in with a brilliant century as he has continued to support Hetmyer in each game. When the duo came to the crease, they produced an opening partnership of 323 from 46 overs. After Ramdeholl fell for his 135, Hetmyer continued his onslaught and took his team to 348-1 in their allotted 50 overs. With a looming target of 349 for victory, Guymine were bundled out for 31 in 11.3 overs. The chief wicket-takers for Rose Hall Canje were Nicholas Hall (4-10 from 5 overs); Sharvesh Isberan (3-18 from 4 overs) and Enrique Mickle (1-1). Rose Hall Canje “Arborsmart” won by 317 runs and have advanced to the semi-finals.
In match number two, Boodwah struck a magnificent 114 as Port Mourant Prem Kennard Under-15 Cricket Team defeated Edinburgh by 210 runs in the quarter-final at the Port Mourant Community Centre Ground. Batting first, Port Mourant Prem Kennard scored 272-5 from their allotted 35 overs. Top-scoring was Boodwah 114 (14 fours), with support from Vishal Williams (35) and Robin Boodwah (27 not out). In reply, a struggling Edinburgh were dismissed for 62. Leading the charge for Port Mourant bowlers was Rovin Boodwah with 4 for 20 from seven overs, with Navin Boodwah chipping in with 2 for 8 from six overs and Yoganand Mohan returning figures of 2 for 18 from 5.2 overs.
