The Cliff Anderson Sports Hall was electric over the weekend as the quarter-finals of the President’s 3rd Futsal Championship (Senior Division) delivered high-scoring drama, individual brilliance, and nonstop excitement for fans packed into the venue.
In one of the most thrilling encounters, Bomb Squad edged out Team Cruel in a pulsating 6-4 victory. Kayo Fernandez was the standout performer, netting a superb hat-trick in the 4th, 6th, and 25th minutes.
Felipe Borge opened the scoring early in the 3rd minute, while Reshawn Ritch (8th) and Julio Cesar (12th) added to Bomb Squad’s tally. Team Cruel kept the pressure on through Tyrice Dennis, who struck twice in the 16th and 24th minutes. Ian Dooker (3rd) and another Dennis goal in the 29th got them closer, but Bomb Squad held firm to secure progression.

Road Warriors sent a powerful statement with a commanding 11-1 demolition of Team Family. The attacking onslaught was led by Matheus Henrique, who registered four goals in the 16th, 30th, 37th, and 39th minutes.
Arckson added a brace (7th and 9th), while De Souza (5th), Dionathas Pereira (10th), Daniel Da Silva (17th), Matheus De Souza (18th), and Wesley Ferreira (21st) all found the back of the net. Team Family’s lone response came from Sealon Sue in the 20th minute.
Another goal-filled clash saw Bent Street A overpower Kingston 6-3. Bent Street A showcased balanced scoring with goals from Sean Taylor (6th), Tyler Lyle (11th), Michael Oie (27th, 38th), and a brace from Beveney McGarrell (29th, 35th). Kingston fought valiantly through Troy Andrew (4th), Simon Emanuel (39th), and Ron Abrams (40th), but ultimately fell short.
The final quarter-final match-up featured Sparta Boss defeating Stabroek Ballers 5-2. Sparta Boss displayed composure and control with goals from Curtez Kellman (5th), Jobe Caesar (16th), Omari Glasgow (23rd), Daren Nikes (35th), and Ryan Hackett (39th). Stabroek Ballers responded through Lionel Holder (5th) and Ezikel Frank-David (18th), but Sparta Boss proved too strong down the stretch.
With the quarter-finals now complete, anticipation is building for the semi-finals as the remaining teams continue their quest for futsal glory. If the weekend’s action is any indication, fans can expect even more fireworks as the President’s 3rd Futsal Championship races towards its thrilling conclusion.
