Following the closure of a section of High Street, Georgetown on Saturday to facilitate rehabilitation works, construction workers have assured that the road will be reopened to the public today.
High Street, from Hadfield to Princes Street, has been upgraded to meet the needs of drivers. However, the move without notice created quite some havoc on a busy Saturday afternoon which resulted in a major traffic back-up.
The route 42 or Timehri bus park was also again removed to facilitate these works. Drivers were forced to use alternative streets to head to their destinations.
