Hinds, Looknauth propel Imlach XI to easy win over Jerry XI
During the course of the holiday weekend, Jerry XI duked it out with Imlach XI in the Good Friday 40 Overs Bash. This thrilling encounter saw Imlach XI walking away with the spoils as Richie Looknauth was superb with the ball, bagging four wickets and Adrian Hinds with a match-winning half-century.

Batting first, Jerry XI posted 159-10 In 24.5 overs. Jerry XI had no response for their opponents, as wickets fell at decisive moments in the game. When Jerry XI needed to carry on, Imlach XI managed to nip away at their line-up piece by piece. Looknauth and Mervin Permaul were instrumental with the ball, using the pitch to their advantage and extracting enough out of it to restrict their opponents to a meagre total. Top-scoring was Bernard Bailey with 32 (3×6, 2×4); Damuka Junior with 20 (2×6), Jeffrey Blair 19 (2×6) and Ushardeva Balgobin 18 (4×4) provided support. Leading in the bowling department were Looknauth with 4-45 (8 overs) and Mervin Permaul, 2-17 (4overs).
In reply, Imlach XI made 159-7 In 30.1 overs. Just like their opponents, wickets tumbled at regular intervals, but Imlach XI just managed to pull things together and hold on to rally through. It was a responsible innings from Adrian Hinds and mini cameos from his team-mates that took the team over the line. Leading the run scoring was Hinds with 61, followed by Laurel Parks with 24; Tevin Imlach, 22; Owen Andrews, 18 and Mervin Permaul, 15. The main bowlers for Jerry XI were Krsna Singh 2-49 (8 overs) and Bernard Bailey 2-12 (5 overs).
