HJ steams up for Independence celebrations

Hits and Jams Entertainment is gearing up to host some of the most exciting events to mark Guyana’s 51st Independence Anniversary commencing on May 25-27.
On May 25, the first party titled “Flag Party” will be held at the 704 Sky Lounge. Ladies will be admitted free before midnight, after which patrons will pay $2000 for admission. On May 26, all roads will lead to Hits and Jams Waterworld for a family fun day.
There will be lots of entertainment for the entire family. These include bar-be-que, a children’s fun park, among other things but there will be high-class music by the best deejays from Boom FM.
As the sun sets, all will head to the National Park for the Independence J’Ouvert party featuring some of the best soca artistes in the Region and locally. Advance tickets cost $1000 but $2000 at the gate.
The final event is billed for May 27 and will take the form of a boat cruise. The boat will leave the Transport and Harbour Wharf at Kingstown at 18:00h and travel into the Demerara River, where is will anchor for several hours before returning to Kingston. Performing on the cruise are Stichie One Man Bank, Super Ray One Man Band, Fusion International Sound and Stereo Sonic.
Here again, the Boom Deejays will add some vibes to the event. Tickets for the boat cruise cost $2000.
