Home Affairs Minister Oneidge Walrond has underscored the importance of community policing in strengthening public safety and crime prevention efforts.
According to the Minister, community policing is often overlooked, yet it remains essential in fostering trust and safer neighbourhoods. “When law enforcement works from a place of relationship, we see real results in crime prevention and reduction,” Walrond stated.
She noted that her engagement with Community Policing Groups (CPGs) is intended to not only rebuild the structures that support their work but also to reignite interest and commitment to community service.
