Hornets win Modern Optical Services 7s

Pepsi Hornets continue to have a merry year, as they added another trophy to the cabinet after winning the Modern Optical Service Sevens Tournament on Sunday at the National Park to go with their Guinness Sevens title that they took recently.
However, this time it was not a runaway victory since at the end of the round-robin quota of games, Hornets and Panthers were tied on points. In order to break the tie, game points for and against were tallied.
Hornets had scored 155 points while 34 points were scored against; for Panthers they scored 124 points with five being against.
This tally showed that Hornets had a larger difference (121:119) and were therefore declared the winners.
Guyana Defence Force (GDF), Police Falcons and Yamaha Caribs were finished in third to fifth respectively; Hornets’ Ryan Gonsalves was named the Most Valuable Player.
