A 36-year-old mother of two was stabbed to death by her husband, who committed suicide after the gruesome act.
Dead are Camile Robertson-Rodrigues and her 46-year-old husband Rollin Rodrigues.

Reports are that the woman was killed at sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning at Recht Door—Zee, La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara.
This newspaper was told that the killing stemmed from a dispute between the couple after Robertson-Rodrigues allegedly went against her husband’s wishes and visited a friend’s party in the interior.
She returned home at about 19:30h on Tuesday and met her husband consuming alcohol. The woman’s nephew, Isiah Robertson, told this publication that the couple were arguing when he left the house shortly after and went to a nearby shop.
“I don’t know what happened afterwards, because I end up go outside and at the shop to take lil drink, and when I sit down, I see them two coming out from the house going up the road to the next building, and me nah know what happened after then,” he stated.
On Wednesday morning, the woman’s 12-year-old son went to the home and called for his mother, but did not get a response. This newspaper was told that the child then peeped through the window and saw his mother lying on the bed in a pool of blood. He immediately alerted his uncle, who then confirmed the child’s report.

According to Isiah Robertson, after the alarm was raised, he rushed to the house, where he saw his uncle dead in an apparent suicide. After making this discovery, the nephew related, he had to kick down a door to gain access to a room, where he saw the woman dead on a bed. According to him, there was “blood all over”.
Police were called, and an examination of the woman’s body indicated that she was stabbed three times in different parts of her body.
Meanwhile, a family member who spoke to his publication related that the couple had had arguments in the past, wherein the man had threatened to kill the woman.
“Most times he does talk things when he drunk,” the family member explained. The relative noted that the husband would often get upset when the woman goes out and does not make time for him.

“All he does say is when he come home from work, all he does need is time with she, and he ain’t getting that,” the family member said.
Rollin Rodrigues was working in the fishing industry. He is said to be a father of one from a previous relationship. The couple have no children together, but were married for seven years.
Both bodies were taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital, where the couple were pronounced dead on arrival. Their bodies are at the Ezekiel Funeral Parlor awaiting post mortem examinations.
Police have since launched an investigation.
