A Grove, East Bank Demerara (EBD) couple are expected to appear at the Providence Magistrate’s Court later today, on a joint charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
According to information received, Police on a mobile patrol in the Diamond-Grove communities on Wednesday evening, went to the home of a 38-year-old grocer at Lot 382 Grove and conducted a search.
However, in the presence of the man’s 44-year-old wife, a parcel containing 134 grams of cannabis concealed inside PVC pipe was discovered. They were both told of the offence and arrested.
