Lusignan Golf Course (LGC) President Aleem Hussain beat off his fellow executives to clinch the club’s organized Open tournament played on Saturday.
The LGC executives in keeping with their mandate to host a tournament every weekend, the team decided to test out their constantly upgraded greens with the expertise of the 28 pros.

Hussain hit a Gross 82 and a Net 66 on a difficult Course, to beat off the likes of second place Bridgenannan Harry who ended with a Gross 89 Net.
LGC Vice-President, Peyton George rounded off the top three winners row with his Gross 94 and 71 Net Score.
Former Guyana Women’s champ Joaan Deo who managed to hit one, eight feet from the hole bagged the Nearest to the Pin Prize. Best Gross went to Mike Mangal for his Gross 80.

Following the presentation ceremony, Hussain thanked the players for coming out and putting on a competition-worthy event.
He further praised ground supervisor Mike Guyadin for his continued work in ensuring the Course remains playable throughout the year.
The President closed by announcing that the club will continue to celebrate the Course being open for the first time in January, with a huge Memorial tournament billed for Saturday January 27.
