The Indian Action Committee will host its 15th annual Cultural Mela to observe the 180th anniversary of Indian arrival to Guyana. The Mela is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, at the Albion Sports Complex ground, Berbice, starting at 17:00h.
Live band performances will be provided by Shakti Strings Band and Traveller’s Sound System.
There will also be cultural performances showcasing the contributions of Indians to Guyana through singing, classical dances, cultural exhibitions and lots more, in addition to food, games and other attractions.
Moreover, both events will have massive promotions, deals, and giveaways offered by GTT, with every purchase of a GTT SIM card or handset.
The Melas are the kind compliments of GTT; Banks DIH; AGM Inc; Texila American University and Rohan’s Auto Spares, along with other private businesses.
The event is non-alcoholic, family-friendly with Police security, and admission free.
