Climb Guyana Founder Amanda Wilson-Falloon has said the tournament, a fusion of the company’s Christmas festivities and commemoration of its third anniversary, will showcase the exceptional skills and passion of the top teams in the North Rupununi.
“We have had another amazing year, collaborating once again with various villages across the Rupununi to promote local tourism through thrilling competitions. One standout event was the Republic Race, held in February in partnership with Rockstone Village, which left a lasting impression on both participants and spectators,” Wilson-Falloon shared.
“Building on this success, we decided to combine our Christmas and anniversary celebrations, creating a unique and unforgettable experience. As Climb Guyana reached its monumental third milestone in November, we are thrilled to return to the vibrant landscapes of the Rupununi, ready to showcase a captivating blend of talent and camaraderie with the highly anticipated launch of the Climb Guyana Cup,” she detailed.
In the opening ceremony, feature remarks will be made by Rupununi Football Association (RFA) President Norbert Williams, North Rupununi Football Association (NRFA) President John Abraham, Aranaputa Chairwoman Gillian Rodrigues, and Climb Guyana Region Nine Director Alphonso King.
