The first edition of Kids Fest 592 will be held over a two-day period to promote Guyana’s cultural diversity through music, dance, fashion and games.
Kids Fest 592 will be a perfect platform to help kids express themselves and to help them find passion and explore it further.
The festival will be a two-day event with lots of fun activities for the entire family. During the two days, April 15 and 16, there will be an amusement park for the enjoyment of both kids and their parents.
The concept is to bring Fairytales and children’s wildest imaginations to life. Kids and their family will be greeted by princess and super hero characters while they walk through the festival, giving them a storybook feeling. The event will be held at Giftland Mall on both days.
The festival will see children being entertained throughout the day by several characters including Angelina Ballerina, Bob the Builder and several fairytale princesses etc. The event will also feature several different zones, each sure to attract children of all ages.
Kids Fest 592 includes some interactive areas including the Dance Zone, Healthy Zone, Arts and Crafts Zone and ‘Big Bounce Zone’. Complementing the zones will be a variety of strolling performers, rides and lots of walkabout characters.
Day one will feature live performances, talent shows, and different zones while day two will include a dance-off, fashion show, Easter egg hunt, Miss Kids Fest 592 Pageant and fashion show and the different zones.
Other attractions will include face painting, clown show, kids band/karaoke, gaming centre, kids painting mural, build a doll, title painting and lots more.
Kids Fest 592 is the brainchild of Natalya Thomas of ‘A One Events’ and Nadia Thomas of Duo Collection. The duo recognised the importance of the family to community development.
The family faces struggle every day and with the demands of this ever so changing world, there is not enough family time. Family memories are heavily built around family activities, and time spent together.
The arts play a vital role in a child’s development; both mentally and emotionally, as it touches us beyond the intellect, reaching down into society’s emotional core.
There is also a demand for quality children’s entertainment and activities that far exceed the availability in Guyana. This is why Kids Fest 592 found the need to work with a variety of quality children’s brands and entertainment companies to bring this large outdoor festival to reality. Registration for the festival begins on February 13 through March 24.
