Inaugural Royal Castle Run/ Walk & Kids Fun Run on tomorrow
The inaugural Royal Castle Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run will take centre stage tomorrow at the National Park in Georgetown.
According to the fast-food giants, this exciting event promotes youth sports, fitness, and unity through movement. All are invited to lace up and get involved.
Produced by STRIDE592 and supported by the leading organization, the event will feature a dynamic 5K and 10K Run/Walk for all participants 15 and older, alongside a Kids Fun Run designed to spark joy in movement for the youngest participants.
Royal Castle’s Walk/ Run and Kids Fun Run would ignite the National Park tomorrow
The excitement wouldn’t stop there, as an after party is scheduled to follow with music by Voice FM, refreshments from Royal Castle, samples from Amaya Milk, local fruits, Nex-Gen Miniature Golf, interactive games, and curated vendors.
As told by the organisers, the aim of the initiative is to inspire Guyanese to stay active, connect with the community, and support youths who are leading the way in sports and wellness.
Further, the event would highlight the talents and spirit of invited young and active groups from across the city, including: STEM Guyana, The Bishops’ High School, Queen’s College, Police Progressive Track Club, Titans Track Club, Rebel Tennis Club, Silver Shark Swim Team, Squash Club of Guyana, Weightlifting Kids, Girl Guides of Guyana.
Together, these teams represent the energy, diversity and dedication of Guyana’s growing youth sports community.
“Movement is medicine. It’s about building healthy habits and bringing the community together,” a Royal Castle spokesperson has shared.
“Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, this event is a celebration of youth, fitness, and national pride.”
The fast-food giants are urging all persons to participate by registering through the channels on their Social Media pages, or by contacting STRIDE592 at 640-2444.
The 5K and 10K warm up will begin at 5:45hrs on Saturday, while the Kids Fun run warm up begins at 7:45hrs.
The event is also supported by Bounty Farms, Banks DIH, Sheriff Security Services, J & J Motorcycle, Value4you, Bobcat, NDS Furniture, WJ Enterprise, Cirkel Distributors, Amaya Milk, Dauntless Professionals and NexGen Golf Academy and Driving School.
