The recent change in the city’s weather conditions have forced the rescheduling of the inaugural Turbo Energy Drink Knock out Football Tournament
The tournament was slated continue Wednesday evening with Guyana Police
Force FC battling Kuru Kuru Warriors and then Grove Hi-Tech against Pele unit. However, the rain has left the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta in less than player friendly conditions forcing the organiser to resume the tournament next Tuesday at the same venue from 18:30h.
The action will continue on November 16, when Pouderoyen play Mahaica Determinators and Linden’s Silver Shattas clash with Camptown. The final is slated for December 3.
Teams are hunting a championship purse of $500,000, while the runners-up will receive $250,000. The third place team will receive $125,000 and fourth place finisher will have to settle for $75,000.
