Home Sports Independence Cup set for May 20 bowl off
The Georgetown Softball Cricket League Inc (GSCL Inc) in collaboration with the National Sports Commission (NSC) will be hosting the annual Independence Cup softball tournament from May 20.
The tournament will be played in the open and masters categories with an entrance of ,000. The winning team in the open segment will pocket a trophy and 0,000 and the runner up a trophy and ,000. The first place team in the masters segment will take home a trophy 0,000 and second place a trophy and ,000.
Six teams will be accepted in the open division and the eight in the masters while matches will be played at the GNIC SC and Malteenoes Sports Club.
Entries will be closed on May 13 while the launching and draw will take place on May 17 at 17:00 hrs at GNIC Sports Club. Preliminary matches will continue on May 21while the finals will be held on May 22.
