As Guyanese celebrate 179 years of the arrival of East Indians to Guyana, the Indian Culture International presents its annual Indian Arrival Fest at the Giftland Mall, Pattensen, Greater Georgetown, on May 6.
The event will see a rich cultural presentation by several groups including Indian All Stars Orchestra Troupe, Indian Cultural Centre Troupe, members of the Shalitta, Ishara and the Nachgana dance troupes.
In addition, there will be live performances by Guyanese artistes Aamir Khan, reigning Chutney Queen Vanita Will, Aaron Dasraj, Navin Tularam and Sasha Harrichan. Apart from the performances, there will be food and beverage bars.
Admission to the event is absolutely free. However, apart from parking at the Mall, there will be additional parking at the National Aquatic Centre, Caricom Secretariat and the Arthur Chung Convention Centre.
Dress code for this historic event will be elegantly casual.
