Infrastructural projects will boost business opportunities – Walrond

Tourism Industry and Commerce Minister, Oniedge Walrond during a recent Trinidad and Tobago trade mission to Guyana highlighted several infrastructural projects that will provide the necessary business opportunities to investors.
Drawing reference from the collaboration between Brazil and Guyana she stated that lots of business opportunities for investors will be opened through the new bridge. According to Walrond, northern Brazil provides opportunities of vast markets for millions of persons.
“That is a market that is opened up, and it will open up opportunities for trade for all of us,” Waldron stated.
Whilst enlightening investors on the progress that Guyana has made, she also made mention of the difficulties that would have been faced by Brazil, if various initiatives were not taken.
“If had not been for the building of the bridge between Guyana and Brazil businesses who were exporting items from Brazil would’ve had to almost take the route across the whole continent of Brazil just to reach Guyana,” she said.
As the transformative projects unfold, Walrond addressed investors, acknowledging minor hurdles that Guyana would have faced in attempts to completing infrastructural initiatives however she offered words of encouragement stating that this can be an opportunity for growth for investors. (G1)
